On-Demand Freelance Spanish Translator/Post-Editor

Experienced post-editor for Weekdays from Monday 7am - Friday 5pm (Eastern Standard Time)

Hours: Weekends from Friday 5pm - Monday 7am (Eastern Standard Time)  

We are looking for talented and qualified English (US) into Spanish (US) Post-Editors with experience in the medical setting.  

Task:  Review and refine machine-translated text from English (US) into Spanish (US) by improving accuracy, quality, and fluency. Post-editors are expected to work quickly and efficiently to meet required turnaround times while ensuring the final translation reads naturally, as if originally written by a native speaker.

Requirements: 

• A degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or 
• a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating; or
• the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating. 

•  Bilingual Spanish (US) and English (US). 
• Localization Experience - Possess cultural knowledge of the source language and the target language.
• Post-editing Machine Translation or Localization Experience. 
• Knowledge of MT and LLM technologies
• Proven Experience in the healthcare industry.
• CAT experience. 

Skills: 

• Advanced degree in translation or a related field. 

• Experience in evaluating Post-edited material:  
  Post-editing Quality:  fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence 
  RAW MT output evaluation: Post-editing length and time, Error type identification and similar   

• Additional language proficiency in other languages.
