The Language Group’s mentorship program is designed for ASL students seeking to fulfill required fieldwork or observation hours. Through this program, students are paired with a nationally certified interpreter and accompany them to onsite assignments. This structured mentorship provides valuable, hands-on experience and insight into professional interpreting practices.

This program will cover assignments across the Hampton Roads area.
Assignments will be mainly medical in nature, but can also include other community settings.
This mentorship program is not compensated. Students are responsible for any expenses that may arise.
